A Refined Greek Red Celebrating the Legacy of Black Messenicola
Messenicola is a PDO Greek red wine that honors the legacy of the Black Messenicola grape, cultivated in its birthplace in Thessaly.
Recognized for its distinctive character, it carries centuries of history and proudly represents Greek winemaking on the international stage. Monsieur Nicolas, for whom the wine is named, would be proud of its role today as an ambassador of innovation and tradition combined.

Tasting Notes
Silky and full-bodied, Messenicola reveals a ruby-red color and an aromatic spectrum that blends floral notes with forest fruits. Soft tannins and a lingering aftertaste create a refined balance, while hints of French varietal influence from Syrah and Carignan add depth and personality. The result is a wine of elegance and distinction, equally suited for connoisseurs and modern wine lovers.
Aging
Aged for 12 months in small French oak barrels, Messenicola continues to evolve gracefully in the bottle, with the capacity to age for up to 10 years. This combination of oak maturation and bottle aging allows the wine to develop structure, complexity, and a long-lasting character.
Perfect Pairing
Allow the wine to open for about 15 minutes before serving at 16-18˚C, so its aromas and flavors can fully unfold. It complements roasted red meats, game dishes and preparations with red sauces, as well as smoked cheeses, charcuterie, and even fresh fruit like apple or pear.
