A Fresh Expression of Chardonnay with a Distinct Greek Identity
Lion D’Or Chardonnay is part of a family of wines whose name signifies nobility and prestige. Produced at the Mackedon Winery in Platanotopos, Kavala, this single-variety Chardonnay is presented with a modern screw cap and a lively, approachable character. Celebrated worldwide as one of the most beloved grape varieties, Chardonnay here takes on a distinctly Greek identity while retaining its global appeal.
Vinification Techniques
The must undergoes pre-fermentation extraction (skin contact) for 10-18 hours to enhance aromatic complexity. Fermentation follows the classic white wine method at controlled temperatures between 12-16˚C, preserving freshness and varietal expression.

Tasting Notes
